Deborah Haynes was evacuated by Chinook helicopter last week, and since then, she and her husband have been staying in Boulder. Haynes has lived in the tiny, close-knit town of Jamestown for 15 years. The town, northwest of Boulder, is one of the places the floods cut off. The storms also claimed the life of a Jamestown resident. Ryan Warner speaks with Haynes, who's an art professor. She says in the hours before the airlift, she and her neighbors were hunkered down in Jamestown’s small elementary school.
