
In a Denver Post opinion piece this week, former US Senator from Colorado Tim Wirth wrote, “I believe we now face the most serious threat to our country since Ben Franklin uttered the words, ‘A Republic, if you can keep it.’ The very foundation of democracy- the ability to hold valid, trusted elections – is under severe threat.”
