Mike Rust was among those who helped popularize Colorado mountain biking in the 1970s and 80s. He rode around Crested Butte and Salida with friends and his five brothers. In 2009, Rust disappeared, while living alone in rural Saguache County. His friends and family have never given up the search for him.

A new film looks into Rust's disappearance and celebrates his contributions to mountain biking. Nathan Ward directed "The Rider & The Wolf," which premieres Saturday at Telluride Mountainfilm. Ward spoke with Colorado Matters host Ryan Warner, and says the film will screen elsewhere in Colorado this summer.
