Five schools in the Colorado Springs area have made Newsweek's annual America's Best High Schools list...Peterson Air Force Base is repairing the roof of a damaged hangar that was torn by high winds last month...and, a hiker has died while trying to climb a 14,000-foot mountain in southern Colorado near Alamosa.
