The state senate had a lengthy and at times emotional debate on a bill to allow civil unions in Colorado. It’s the second year in a row the senate has taken up the measure. It still needs a final vote before it can move to the house, and this year the discussion showed more division among Republicans. Bente Birkeland has more from the state capitol.
