Fire crews are continuing the battle against the devastating Waldo Canyon Fire. And it’s a painful day for many Colorado Springs residents, who are coming to terms with no longer having a home. President Obama visited one charred neighborhood today. Although no homes have been lost in Teller County along the western flank of the fire, more than three thousand people there have been evacuated--and locals are learning how to live with Highway 24 closed. KRCC’s Elise Thatcher filed this report.
