Incumbents largely held on to congressional seats across Colorado this election. In the 3rd District, Republican incumbent Scott Tipton won a second term over Democratic challenger Sal Pace. In the 4th District, Republican incumbent Cory Gardner won a second term, and in the 5th District, Republican Doug Lamborn beat challenger Dave Anderson....


In El Paso County, voters overwhelmingly approved a sales tax for the sheriff’s department. Voters also overwhelmingly supported an extension of a tax for road improvements, known as the Pikes Peak Rural Transportation Authority Tax. Voters in Manitou Springs approved the library measure by a margin of about 10%, and overwhelmingly approved issue 2C, for park revenue changes....


El Paso County favored GOP candidate Mitt Romney for president, Pueblo County voters favored reelecting Mr. Obama. And, nearly 70% of registered voters in El Paso County cast ballots. In Pueblo County, about 82% of registered voters took to the polls.
