Luis Ramos, from Greeley, Colorado, competed in the bull riding competition during the Mexican Rodeo Extravaganza on Sunday.
Ramos, 22, started riding bulls about a year ago; this is his fifth competition. Despite the danger, Ramos says bull riding is still fun.
“I usually try to practice at least twice or three times a month for an hour or two. It takes a lot out of you. You've just got to be focused, that’s the first thing. You might be a little scared, but once you’re in there just focus and ride it out. I actually got into it just for the joy of it, to get that adrenaline rush. You make a little bit of money, but it’s no biggie. It’s just another hobby for me.”
