Interstate 70 travelers will get to weigh in on proposed toll rates for an express lane scheduled to open in December for ski traffic.
The Denver Post reports that Colorado Department of Transportation officials have suggested rates ranging from $3 to $30 for the 13-mile, eastbound-only stretch near Idaho Springs. At the maximum suggested toll rate, drivers would pay $2.31 a mile to travel in the express lane, which would put the cost at a higher rate than any other toll road in the country.
