Colorado's Democratic governor is worried about Hillary Clinton's emails.
The Denver Post reports that John Hickenlooper made the comments in response to an audience question at a forum Thursday. The governor said that if investigators find the former secretary of state broke the law by using her personal email for public business it could be "the death knell" for her presidential campaign.
Clinton is the Democratic presidential front-runner. Her campaign has been dogged by questions about her use of private email while secretary of state. Hickenlooper is publicly voicing the private concerns of many Democrats who have watched Clinton's poll numbers fall this summer.
Still, Hickenlooper says he thinks Clinton is well-qualified to run the country.
