Warmer Temperatures Could Ring In The Front Range New Year

Calm winds, and snow cover lingering since last week have kept it cold for the past several days. But Kyle Fredin with the National Weather Service says that’s about to change.

"We’re gonna have a gradual warm up starting Friday into Saturday and it looks like through the beginning of next week," Fredin said. "We look for temperatures to get probably get into the 40s in the entire Front Range urban corridor."

It will still be cold tonight for New Year’s Eve though. It could get down to zero tonight in Denver and even colder in other parts of Colorado. The forecast low in Fort Collins is minus-four. Craig, in northwest Colorado could see a reading of 25 below zero.
