NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is a national grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. The Colorado Springs chapter exists to serve people with mental illness, their families and friends, and the greater Pikes Peak Region. One of its core values is to promote the value and dignity of all human beings. NAMI accomplishes this by offering free education and support programs to those interested in learning more about their own or a familiy member's mental illness. NAMI also helps connect people to the resources they may need to recover from mental illness.
NAMI is online at namicoloradosprings.org. The helpline is 1-844-493-8255. Folks are also welcome to stop by the NAMI office located at 510 E. Willamette in Colorado Springs.
NAMI is participating in the Give! Campaign this year. You can find out more about that here: indygive.com
