---El Paso County Restaurants Can Now Open Dining Rooms Following Social Distancing Guidelines---
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment approved a restaurant variance request from El Paso County Public Health that allows restaurant dining rooms to open immediately with guidelines.
The variance request, submitted last week, was approved Saturday night. To ensure social distancing guidelines, restaurants must be at 50 percent or less capacity, with a max of 50 people in the space at one time. The guidelines also state restaurants must limit groups to no more than 10 people at one table.

The last day for coronavirus testing at the Colorado State Fairground is May 29, according to a press release from the Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment.
The testing center will be open next Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. before closing. The testing site has treated around 2,550 people since opening on April 22.

---Bent County Testing Of Nursing Care Center Reveals No New Positives---
Results from mass testing of residents and employees of a nursing center in Bent County in which one resident recently tested positive for COVID-19 revealed no additional cases, according to county health officials. Until recently, the county was among a handful of counties in the state that had no known cases of COVID-19.
In an update on Friday, May 22, Bent County Public Health Executive Director Omer Tamir said the agency has concluded its investigation into the one known case among residents.
The individual at the care center tested positive on May 15, and upon a second test on May 18, tested negative.
All employees and residents were tested, including residents at the attached assisted living center, and all 141 tests came back negative.
While it is possible that original test was a false negative, Tamir writes that the patient could have been exposed while outside the facility in mid-April and could have been asymptomatic all along with "low shedding" of the virus.

The state has granted a waiver to Fremont County, allowing the county to conduct its own phased reopening of businesses.
The waiver request was sent to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment in late April.
The waiver comes with additional conditions, including rules for gym or fitness center operations, restaurants, and places of worship.
Additionally, the waiver could be modified or rescinded if there's a surge in COVID-19 cases or other conditions change.

---Three More Outbreaks In El Paso County---
Health officials in El Paso County say there are three new outbreaks of COVID-19. Three employees of a McDonald's near the intersection of Airport and Powers, two employees of Springs Fabrication near the Colorado Springs airport, and two residents of Cheyenne Mountain Care Center in the southern part of the city have all tested positive for COVID-19.
Health officials define an outbreak as two or more confirmed cases of COVID-19 within fourteen days.
The announcement comes on the heels of two other outbreaks—one at Goodwill on Austin Bluffs, and another at a Walmart on Space Center Drive. Both of those locations have seen an additional positive case, bringing their totals to four each.
Health officials say anyone experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 should get tested.
---Pueblo County Sees Another Outbreak At Assisted Living Facility—
The Columbine Chateau in Pueblo West has three residents and one staff member who have tested positive for COVID-19. An outbreak in a healthcare facility is defined as two or more cases of COVID-19 in residentswithin a 14-day period.
The Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment has requested the state health department to provide testing for all staff and residents of the facility. According to Pueblo health officials, the state will send testing materials to the facility directly.
Columbine Chateau is the second facility in Pueblo County with an outbreak. The first was Brookdale at El Camino, which was reported in early April.

Health officials in El Paso County say three employees at Walmart's Space Center Drive location have tested positive for COVID-19.
Because this is two or more confirmed cases within 14 days, health officials consider this an outbreak. Public Health says the agency is alerting anyone who may have visited this store between May 8 and May 13.
El Paso County Public Health says the store will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected this evening.
---Custer County Receives Waiver---
The state has granted a waiver to Custer County, allowing the county to conduct its own phased reopening of businesses.
The waiver request was sent to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment in late April, citing a steady known case count of two since the beginning of April, as well as the capability to test, isolate and quarantine individuals as necessary.
The waiver comes with additional conditions, including limiting businesses to 30 percent of fire code capacity, requiring employees and customers to wear facial coverings, and limiting groups to six members of a single household.
Additionally, the waiver could be modified or rescinded if there's a surge in COVID-19 cases or other conditions change.
