The Colorado College Summer Music Festival presents its annual Children’s Orchestra Concert, with two performances at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Thursday, June 15 in Celeste Theatre, Cornerstone Arts Center. The concert is free, but tickets are required. Tickets are available online at www.coloradocollege.edu/musicfestival or by calling (719) 389-6552.

This year’s Children’s Concert presents Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, with performances by the Festival Orchestra and special guests from the Millibo Art Theatre, along with artwork by students from the Bemis School of Art.

Now in its 39th season, the Colorado College Summer Music Festival provides the highest caliber, inclusive educational experience for pre-professional musicians, connecting them with preeminent performance faculty as they prepare to launch rewarding careers, while simultaneously providing vibrant and diverse concerts celebrating legacy, contemporary, and underrepresented classical music – thereby enriching the community of the Pikes Peak region.
