Event Description

September 11, 2021••• Saturday 10am ••• “COLORADO SPRINGS: A Changing Landscape” by Donald Kallaus
“Colorado Springs, A Changing Landscape” is history and photography combined as this volume and presentation explore the city of Colorado Springs through Glenn Wesley Murray’s photographs made during the 1930s to 1960s, contrasting with contemporary images made by local Colorado Springs photography students. Their challenge, to document the same locations that Murray photographed, sometimes more than 80 years later, and apply their creative eye to the changes, the progress, and sometimes, the unfortunate loss of our city’s history.

The live presentation will be held at the Manitou Springs Heritage Center 517 Manitou Avenue Manitou Springs, Colorado 80829. Visit our free museum. For more information, call 719-685-1454, email: [email protected], or visit www.manitouspringsheritagecenter.org.
