The Horticultural Art Society of Colorado Springs Hosts Gigantic Annual Plant Sale
Colorado Springs - The Horticultural Art Society of Colorado Springs, a respected nonprofit organization with a rich legacy dating back to 1962, is excited to announce its upcoming Gigantic Annual Plant Sale.
The eagerly anticipated event will take place on May 10-11 & May 17-18. Fridays 9-5 p.m. and Saturdays 9-4 p.m. in the backyard of the caretaker’s cottage at 224 Mesa Road in Monument Valley Park.
This year's plant sale features a huge selection of plants selected for suitability to this area. The selection will include native perennials, PlantSelect varieties, roses, shrubs, grasses, vines, vegetables, cacti, and succulents. Each weekend will showcase different plants sourced from various vendors, ensuring a diverse selection for gardening enthusiasts. A highlight of the first weekend will be a collection of plants selected to appeal to Mother’s Day shoppers.
Our gardening experts will be on hand throughout the sale to answer questions about which plant might best meet your garden needs.
In addition to the vendor offerings, the Horticultural Art Society will feature a special section of “Dug N Donated” plants, gardening books, and gently used garden items from members and friends, adding a unique touch to the sale.
This sale is open to the public, welcoming gardeners from all backgrounds, but Horticultural Art Society members receive a 10% discount on purchases over $100. This is just one of the many perks of membership, along with free admission to talks by garden experts, workshops, and community events. The biggest benefit is knowing you are supporting the maintenance of the demonstration gardens. To become a member, please go to our website: hasgardens.org.or you can join at the sale.
Founded to foster community-based garden education, the Horticultural Art Society has been a cornerstone of the Colorado Springs gardening scene for over six decades. In partnership with the City of Colorado Springs, the society actively tends to three gardens in Monument Valley, supported by numerous dedicated volunteers.
