Join Colorado Preservation, Inc. in Pueblo on June 20-22 for a weekend that celebrates the rich history and vibrant cultural identity of this remarkable Colorado region! Organized by CPI and local partners, “On the Road” invites you to experience the heart and soul of Pueblo through engaging activities that honor both its agricultural roots and industrial legacy. This weekend promises to deepen your appreciation for Pueblo’s unique cultural tapestry and the stories that define it! Begin the adventure with an early check-in and reception on June 20, 2025 at The Clink Hotel, 140 Central Main (2nd Floor of Brues Alehouse) The opening reception of On the Road in Pueblo, sponsored by Visit Pueblo, includes a complimentary cocktail, delicious appetizers, and special drink offers. Experience the scenic Pueblo Riverwalk with a free boat ride departing from Brues Alehouse's riverwalk patio. On June 21 and 22, attendees can choose from a variety of engaging tours exploring mountains, city life, or farm country. On Saturday morning, embark on a journey through Beulah’s breathtaking mountain scenery, visiting historic ranches, a 100-year-old park, and the historic Dotson Cabin, culminating in a delicious catered lunch at the Beulah History Center. Alternatively, discover Pueblo’s rich immigrant heritage, its thriving steel industry, and vibrant cultural landmarks through visits to historic churches, sites, and a local Italian market, all complemented by traditional Slovenian music and lunch. In the afternoon, explore the grandeur of the Rosemount Museum, learn about the State Hospital Museum, and gain insights into Pueblo’s Jewish community—optionally visiting historic cemeteries and temples. On Sunday, choose to explore Pueblo’s farm country and learn about local agriculture and the Bessemer Irrigating Ditch, ending with a farm-to-table lunch. Or stay in town to experience Pueblo’s colorful murals, historic neighborhoods, and iconic landmarks—including the Charles Goodnight Rock Canyon Ranch Barn—along with cultural insights into the city’s diverse communities. Included in registration is Saturday night's Taste of Pueblo where participants will enjoy local food, handcrafted libations, and live music at the historic Orman Mansion.
