Topic: Leadership & Decision-Making: Effective leadership skills for small business owners
Join us for an empowering morning at our Women Business Owner’s Roundtable.

The facilitator will share 1-3 high-level leadership frameworks with attendees to ground our discussion. After a very brief explanation of the framework(s), the facilitator will invite attendees to reflect individually on their own leadership ‘peaks’ and ‘valleys’ to distill lessons from their lived experience. Majority of the round table will be devoted to discussing key insights on leadership and decision-making as a small business owner so that attendees can learn from each other.

By the end of this round table, attendees will be able to:

Share leadership insights with peers

Speaker: Dayna Herbert Walker, Assistant Professor of Management, College of Business, University of Colorado Colorado Springs

Dayna Herbert Walker is an Assistant Professor of Management in the College of Business at University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. Inspired by people as “works in progress,” Dayna researches employee development, including topics such as leader development, mentoring, and leadership in the eyes of followers. She teaches in the MBA and undergraduate business programs. Dayna has worked as a leadership coach, facilitator, evaluator, and program coordinator in several leadership training organizations, ranging from global executive education firms to undergraduate student leadership institutes. She earned her PhD in psychology from Claremont Graduate University in 2017.
