Event Description

The Colorado College Summer Music Festival presents its next Intermezzo Season concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 12 at Packard Hall. Break beat poet Idris Goodwin joins with SMF luminaries Mark Fewer, violin, and John Novacek, piano, for an inspiring evening where spoken word and music intersect – with a few surprises!

The wide-ranging program blending classical and modern sounds includes three original compositions by Goodwin, as well as Mozart’s Sonata in G Major, James Scott’s Kansas City Rag, Erkki-Sven Tüür’s Conversio for violin and piano, and Bohuslav Martinu’s Jazz Sonata for violin and piano.

Tickets are $30 for the general public and $5 for non-CC students. Tickets for SMF Donors cost $25 for this concert or $45 to bundle with the May 4 Intermezzo concert. Colorado College students, faculty and staff receive free admission by showing their Gold Card.
