For 27 years, a Colorado-based nonprofit, W.O.L.F. Sanctuary, has been at the forefront of rescuing captive-born wolves and wolf dogs from across the country.

W.O.L.F. has been a haven for hundreds of canines from fur farms, shelters, illegal operations, unethical tourist attractions, and abandonment. W.O.L.F. has been vital to placing hundreds of animals across the United States to find haven through their Rescue Mission.

W.O.L.F. now has an incredible venture in front of them — a new sanctuary with more than 160-plus acres in Colorado’s Red Feather Lakes. Currently, home to 30 captive-born wolves and wolf dogs, W.O.L.F.’s new location will offer spacious state-of-the-art habitats and the opportunity to be open to the public for educational tours for the first time since its origination. Our dream is becoming a reality as the organization continues to build the necessary infrastructure on the property and plans to welcome its four-legged furry residents to their new homes by the end of 2022.

This has been an arduous journey as the price for materials and labor have skyrocketed, with an ambitious goal to raise over $3.5 million for the final build-out of the sanctuary.
