- CENTENNIAL, Colo. – Oct. 26, 2011 – A staff of five will lead the launch of OpenAir, beginning Oct. 31 on 1340 AM in Denver. They’ll explore new ideas, new bands and new sounds with a Colorado perspective.
- CENTENNIAL, Colo. – Sept. 26, 2011– Colorado Public Radio (CPR) has named its new-music station on 1340 AM in Denver OpenAir. It will begin broadcasting on October 31. OpenAir will provide a comprehensive music experience focusing on new and recent music of the past 15 years with a Colorado perspective.

- CENTENNIAL, Colo. – August 22, 2011– Colorado’s connections to 9/11 and its aftermath over the past 10 years will be the focus of a news special co-produced by Colorado Public Radio (CPR) and Rocky Mountain PBS. The half-hour feature will air on Rocky Mountain PBS at 7 p.m. on September 8, 9 p.m.
- CENTENNIAL, Colo. – August 2, 2011– Over 400 instruments donated by listeners during the Colorado Public Radio (CPR) Annual Instrument Drive last spring will begin making their way into the hands of Colorado students this month.
- CENTENNIAL, Colo. – July 26, 2011 – Colorado Public Radio (CPR) will present special coverage from the Aspen Music Festival this weekend, including a live broadcast featuring the festival’s newly appointed music director, Robert Spano, conducting Mahler’s Symphony No. 5 and Barber’s Violin Concerto, op. 14 with violinist Robert McDuffie.
- CENTENNIAL, Colo. – July 19, 2011 – Jennifer Flatt has been named Colorado Public Radio’s (CPR) new vice president of marketing. Flatt most recently served as director of marketing at CPR. “Jenny’s leadership has been critical in building a strategic marketing focus over the last two years,” said CPR President Max Wycisk.
- CENTENNIAL, Colo. – July 13, 2011 – A Colorado Public Radio (CPR) “Colorado Matters” interview with deaf jazz singer Mandy Harvey of Loveland won a first prize in Public Radio News Directors Inc.’s 2011 awards competition. The awards, announced this month, recognize outstanding news reporting by public radio stations around the country.
- CENTENNIAL, Colo. – July 7, 2011 – Reporter Jenny Brundin has joined Colorado Public Radio to enhance coverage of Colorado’s education system. The education reporter is a new position funded by The Gates Family Foundation and The Piton Foundation.
- CENTENNIAL, Colo. – June 27, 2011– Colorado Public Radio (CPR) will start broadcasting a new music station on 1340 AM in the Denver metro area and online at cpr.org beginning this fall.
