A new book explores the history of healers along the U.S./Mexico border known as curanderos. Historian Jennifer Koshatka Seman is a lecturer at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Her book, "Borderlands Curanderos: The Worlds of Santa Teresa Urrea and Don Pedrito Jaramillo" is nominated in the biography category for a Colorado Book Award. Winners will be announced Friday, June 24, 2022.
