Lawmakers may have finished the budget debate, but one of the big fights of the legislative session is just gearing up. A freshman lawmaker is introducing a controversial bill on today that aims to make it easier to get rid of ineffective teachers and principles. It would also give merit based pay and help teachers and principals learn from those who do it best. The education community calls the proposal a game changer but remains divided on the measure.
