Plans for the old Ivywild Elementary School include several shops and a community center (Gazette). Democratic Senator John Morse has announced his plans to run for re-election (KRDO). A proposal to ban medical marijuana shops may be headed to a November ballot (KRDO). A petition has been submitted  to give the Mayor more decision making power (Business Journal).

In Pueblo, a hepatitis A alert has been issued for certain people (KOAA). Use of the Arkansas River has been restricted due to the danger in certain areas (Chieftain). Federal law has forced several principals out of their jobs (Chieftain).
