LGBT health in Colorado

January 20, 2012

One-fifth of Coloradans who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender say they’ve been refused health care because of their sexual orientation. That’s according to a new study funded by the advocacy group, One Colorado.

Dr. Mark Thrun directs HIV and STD prevention and control programs at Denver Health. He tells CPR’s Anna Panoka the study gives doctors important new information about Colorado’s LGBT community.
