County Clerks Move Fast to Prepare Recalls

County Clerks in El Paso and Pueblo Counties are having to scramble to set up recall elections for state lawmakers,  something that’s never happened in Colorado before. Opponents of the state’s new gun laws are challenging two state senators, John Morse of Colorado Springs and Angela Giron of Pueblo. The lawmakers mounted legal challenges, but a judge recently ruled the recalls should move forward. The Governor set the elections for September 10th.   Pueblo County Clerk and Recorder Gilbert Ortiz spoke with Colorado Public Radio's Anna Hanel.
