Temporary KRCC Staffing And Program Changes

KRCC and Colorado Public Radio are committed to providing you with the most up-to-date and accurate information about the spread of the Coronavirus, while also adhering to public health guidelines. We are asking everyone to practice social distancing to mitigate the spread of the virus.

To that end, starting this week most KRCC employees will be working from home. In an effort to keep as many people away from the station as possible, we have decided to temporarily suspend live hosting of evening music programming starting at 7 pm on March 19. Instead we will be airing Colorado Matters weeknights at 7 pm followed at 8 pm by the BBC.

Saturday evenings we will air BBC News beginning at 7 pm following Sound Opinions, and Sunday at 6 pm BBC News will follow This American Life. We are taking steps to protect KRCC journalists and staff, as well as bringing you the most up-to-date and factual information from reporters throughout the state.

Recent events have put a stress on KRCC’s budget, which is likely to be exacerbated in the coming months. Thanks to all of you for your help and support in keeping KRCC a vital public service at this time.
