In our series "On Pain," we've been listening to Coloradans who experience chronic pain. A theme has emerged: that the search for relief is often long and exhausting. Even painful. Yet hope lingers, that a diagnosis or treatment waits around the corner.

For Kajaitani Barber, of Denver, that diagnosis was an increasingly common one: fibromyalgia. And while it was reassuring to have a name for her condition, it's often an elusive one. Barber helps us quiz rheumatologist Dr. Kevin Deane about treatment and research.
