Government Efficiency Bill Moves Forward

The Republican leader of the state senate is finding more success this legislative session with his efforts to streamline government and make it more efficient. His bill to examine state departments for redundant programs and cost savings easily cleared a Democratic controlled committee today. A similar measure failed last year.
