Hark! How the bells, sweet silver bells, all seem to say: “We are the 2024 champion!” After losing a hard-fought battle in 2023, this long-time favorite won in 2024.

In a thrilling upset, “Silent Night” has dethroned frequent champion “Carol of the Bells” and been voted Colorado’s favorite Christmas carol of 2023 in our annual Carol Countdown.

There's a new No. 1 in this year's holiday poll.

While the top three remained unchanged from last year’s poll, a few carols grew in popularity. “Still, Still, Still” finished in The top 10 for the first time since 2009. “In the Bleak Midwinter” surged to No. 7 and “The Wexford Carol” made its strongest showing ever, at No. 14.

These are the top 50 best-beloved songs for the season, chosen by CPR listeners.
