Event Description

These days our lives are reliant on technology. From online banking and binge watching our favorite series, to scheduling medical appointments and connecting with loved ones, our world today is a digital one. Have you given any thought to what happens to all your digital-related “stuff” when you pass away or become incapacitated? In this interactive presentation, you’ll learn about the concept of a “digital legacy” and how technology has the power to make things more challenging for loved ones when we become incapacitated or pass away. You’ll leave armed with tips on how to make things easier for your loved ones. How does technology add complexity to fulfilling the wishes of loved ones? How can technology be used safely and in ways that make things easier for loved ones?

Kate Hufnagel: MS in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University. Kate is the founder of The Digital Wrangler, a company that helps individuals and companies organize their digital lives.
