Oil and Gas Rules

In western states like Colorado, there are growing concerns that pollution from oil and gas drilling is posing risks to public health. To that end, the Environmental Protection Agency is proposing new rules to help curb the problem. The agency held a day long hearing in Denver yesterday to get input on the changes. Environmental groups praise the proposal, while industry representatives say they’re too broad. Bente Birkeland has more from the state capitol.
