Alex joined Colorado Public Radio in 2018 as digital producer and became an audience editor in 2023. She came to CPR after working at The Denver Post where she wrote, edited and produced stories for the Your Hub community sections.
Alex’s career in digital storytelling began as a student at Arizona State University where she served in various positions at an independent, online-only student publication, and soon after as a digital intern at 5280 Magazine. Working at Cronkite News, azcentral.com and the New Media Innovations and Entrepreneurship Lab, Alex honed her digital production skills. Her experience includes work with social media, websites and visual storytelling through photos and video. Recently, Alex also served as communications coordinator for an Arizona non-profit organization, UMOM, taking on several projects to revitalize the organization’s social media presence.
