Event Description
The Voice of America (VOA) was, until recently, the largest government funded broadcaster of factual news,
information, and cultural programming that was delivered around the world through the Internet, mobile and
social media, radio, and television. The VOA was founded in 1942 to counter Nazi and Japanese propaganda
during World War II and then grew during the Cold War and beyond. In this presentation,we will cover the creation and growth of personal experiences with, and the current sad status of, the VOA.
